Phillip Wood

Business Manager

I have worked in financial services for over 30 years in various roles, with a focus on team management and supervision. I have supported and coached a large number of advisers over the years with vastly differing experience and knowledge. Through this extensive experience I have been able to share my knowledge and insights with both longstanding advisers and those at the start of their careers. My greatest pleasure is to see people develop and flourish within their roles.

The majority of my career has been with Coutts and Barclays Wealth Management. At Coutts I had a successful career as a private banker, providing financial planning, investment and lending advice to clients both based in the UK and internationally, before moving into management. Whilst at Barclays I held a senior position responsible for a team of London based wealth managers and wealth planners. During this time, I helped develop the Professionals proposition, working with one of the largest City accountancy firms.

At Partners Wealth Management I will be working closely with the Business Director and wider leadership to identify strategic developments across the advisory team. I will also be working with advisers to help them progress and solidify their client relationships. My role is to further enhance and develop their soft skills so that they continue to evolve over their entire careers, always being in the position to provide their clients with the best possible service and outcome.

I am a member of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), and a Chartered Financial Planner with the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII). I am also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and hold the ACIB and CeMAP qualifications.

On a personal level, I am married with a son in full-time education. My wife is from France, so many holidays are spent there. I enjoy running and play golf regularly at Moor Park Golf Club where I am a member.
