Ian Roderick

Business Manager

I have worked in financial services for over 30 years in various roles, more recently focused on team management, business development and supervision. I have supported and coached many advisers with vastly differing experience and knowledge, ranging from junior advisers in their first advisory role to highly experienced wealth managers. I have been able to share my knowledge and help develop these advisers to ensure great client outcomes. I really enjoy helping advisers develop and flourish within their roles.

Throughout my career, I have worked for many different organisations within the financial services sector, varying from high street banks to wealth networks, both in the UK and Gibraltar. More recently I have worked for a major UK network and Schroders Personal Wealth. Whilst working in these various roles throughout my career, I have been able to develop and understand business owners both within and external to the wealth arena.

I have a degree in Law and hold the Diploma in Financial planning.

I will be working closely with the Business Partner and the wider leadership team to support strategic developments across the advisory team. I look forward to working with advisers to help them develop and enhance their relationships with their clients. My role is to work with and support our advisers to further enhance and develop their skills, as they evolve throughout their careers.

On a personal level, I am a father to three grown-up children who are all now developing their own careers which leaves me plenty of spare time to indulge my great love of open water swimming, rugby, Formula 1 and ice hockey. I am a member and one of the vice presidents of Royal Wootton Bassett RFC. Despite no longer living there, I still have many friends in Gibraltar and my holidays are always “back on the Rock”.
